Withering Jack
The story of Withering Jack was originally posted on the old version of The Corridors, but after taking a good long look at it I decided a major re-write was in order. It was, after all, written in haste in order to get it on the site immediately. What a mistake that was. Therefore the story of Withering Jack is now back on the drawing board.
A brief glimpse into the story: Two brothers find themselves in a tangle of deceit when a mysterious stranger comes to town and sets up a pumpkin stand. Halloween is coming and the boys are determined to get the biggest and best pumpkin the man has for sale. But pumpkins aren't the only thing this shadowy stranger brings to town; he also brings with him a friend, a tattered scarecrow named "Jack" who is a bit more than meets the eye, as the two boys were too late in discovering.
Find out what happens when one of the brothers discovers the coveted pumpkin won't be coming home with him, and experience a Halloween like this small town has never seen before.
