New Orleans is a strange and beautiful city, a city that literally breathes with an underlying magical current that can be felt to the very bone. Its cemetaries are flecked with above-ground tombs, its streets alive with sounds, sites and people that seem to only exist in this one small location on the planet. Could there possibly be any place more mysterious on earth? Not in my opinion.

Every corner seems to bear artist, musician, dancer or psychic, and the sounds and smells of New Orleans does little to hide the real secret that makes it truly special. If one stands still long enough, listening close enough---really listening..the true magic of New Orleans can be felt. The undercurrant of an otherwordly presence is difficult to miss, though some may mistake it entirely for something else. Is it just a quiver in the stomach, a little excitement of being in one of America's oldest cities, or could it be something else? Just take one of the many haunted or graveyard tours and see for yourself. Or, just open up to its many wonders and see what the inner-storyteller tells. Because, trust me when I say that New Orleans is far more than beniets, coffee and Bourbon Street. It's still far more than the French Market or Margaritaville, and still more than ancient bed & breakfasts and voodoo shops.

New Orleans is a city in which you can feel the ever-present connection between the living and the dead, the here and then.
