The House on Dauphin Island

I was told about a house on Dauphin Island, some 45min or so from where we live in Mobile. The house is reportedly haunted, the owner 'just' now able to keep contractors around long enough to keep restoration in progress. The story goes that the house was moved from one location on the island to the land on which it now sits.

Built in the 1800's (early I believe) moving the house wasn't the best idea, but it was necessary to save the house (another story). Apparently those spirits who reside there weren't amused and began scaring the workers hired for the restoration. And while the details are few and sketchy, I plan on obtaining the full story as soon as I can. But in the meantime there are a few interesting things in a photo I shot of one of the front windows.

Now anyone can find something of interest in the images having lens flares, shadows, etc., but the image of the window is different. There's nothing 'overt' enough to blame it on camera or software trickery, and the image I posted is quite large, very high resolution, so any 'trickery' could be detected by anyone with eyes to see them. Many 'fake' images are so small when displayed that it's difficult to see that they're fake, which is why the image of the window I present is rather large.

None of the other shots of this particular window has anything remotely like this, so we've pretty much ruled out that it's anything structural inside the house making this shape. Also, we did look in that window and saw nothing that could explain what's in the photo. In fact, there's nothing at all in front of that window on the inside, and obviously there's nothing on the front outside.

I wont make claims that the photograph contains images of ghosts, aparitions, spirits, etc., but I will state with certainty that I believe that's exactly what's there. What is in the photo is unsettling, and unexplainable. No orbs or rods or trailing lights; just a face, and a cat on the right which someone else pointed out. I don't know about the cat, but the thing in the left pane...

CLICK HERE See the ghost face in the window of this house! The photo was taken by myself, as was the image above. There's a face in the left upper pane, and a black cat in the right upper pane. I didn't notice the cat until someone pointed it out.

The image is large, so you should be able to see it clearly enough. Also, not sure if it means anything at all, but I keep referring to this window as a 'door,' and even named the image with the word "door" included.
